What We Do

Hope for children in crisis

Home Safe Haven

A safe haven for children who have been abandoned, abused, or left alone. Here, children receive nutritious meals, loving care, schooling, and psychological support to help them heal and thrive.

Mother and Child Support:

Many young women face exclusion due to pregnancy caused by sexual violence. We provide them with perinatal care, emotional counselling, material aid, and vocational training such as tailoring, helping them regain independence and dignity.

Education & Community Programs:

Schools in Uganda require tuition fees, which many families cannot afford. We pay school fees, buy uniforms, and supply educational materials for 25 children. We also support family reintegration, nutritional programs, and healthcare to strengthen communities.

Agandi Residential and Educational Centre

More than just a home, the Residential and Educational Centre is a place for safety, discovery, and hope.

Once complete, the centre will feature:

Residential Buildings: We are building family-style homes with gardens to accommodate children, young mothers, and their babies. We want children to live in a home environment filled with love and stability, forming families so they can enjoy dignified living conditions, as close to normality as possible.

School & Educational Building: It will feature classrooms, a library, a computer room, a TV room, etc.

We also plan to build a Healing and Creativity center – for therapy, art, music, dance and learning.

We will hold activities not only for our own children, but also for children from nearby villages whose families cannot afford the cost of education, giving them opportunities to learn, grow, and dream for a brighter future.

Administration building: It will feature offices for Agandi Foundation staff, offices for social workers, an adoption centre, and a meeting room

Small clinic: a dedicated space where we will care for our children and offer medical assistance to other residents when needed.

How Your Support Helps:

We currently support 25 children, although this number is continually changing as the needs in the community change.

Renting a home – This is where the children live. It serves as a safe haven and a central part of their daily lives.

Home furnishings – To create a harmonious environment for the children to grow, we provide equipment that supports their proper development. This includes furniture for children and caregivers, beds, wardrobes, mosquito nets, and essential items for the kitchen, dining room, and playroom, along with necessary safety equipment.

Education – We support the children’s education by covering school fees, meals, and tuition, enabling them to deepen their learning every day. This is essential for building a future that can break the cycle of poverty.

School supplies – We provide a complete set of essential educational materials for school, including uniforms, notebooks, lunch boxes, and other accessories that support and facilitate children’s learning.

Providing food and children's needs – We supply clothing, underwear, footwear, diapers, powders, food products, and daily care items to meet the essential needs of the children.

Maintaining the home – This includes paying bills, hiring a safety supervisor, and providing animals to enhance the children’s security and safety.

Staff recruitment – We hire dedicated childminders, social workers, administrative staff, project coordinators, and accountants to ensure effective care, management, and support for our programs.

Providing medical care – We offer initial vaccinations, HIV testing, necessary medications, and medical treatments, including required procedures and surgeries, to support the children’s health and well-being.
